ByteDance (字节跳动) is the Beijing-based parent company of TikTok (Douyin in China) and one of the world's most valuable private technology companies. ByteDance's AI advantage is underpinned by its extraordinary data resources from Douyin/TikTok's billion-plus monthly active users and its massive investment in GPU infrastructure, with reports indicating ByteDance has been one of the world's largest purchasers of Nvidia GPUs. As a private company valued at approximately $250 billion, ByteDance's AI investments are funded through its core business revenue.
